Udaipur,  Women of the Salvi community from the Chhappan area celebrated Sawan Utsav and the Teej festival with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour.

The programme was organised under the leadership of the Salvi Samaj Queen Group, headed by Suman Dodiya. Women from the community, including Narbada, Lalita, Kanta, Meenakshi and Pushpa Devi, along with other members, participated enthusiastically in the celebrations.

The event featured traditional Sawan and Teej songs, devotional bhajans and cultural performances. The women exchanged Teej greetings and highlighted the importance of preserving and carrying forward the community’s cultural traditions.

As part of the Teej celebrations, gifts related to traditional adornment and beauty were also distributed among the women.

The programme reflected the spirit of unity, mutual affection and camaraderie among the women of the community. The Sawan Utsav and Teej celebration provided a meaningful opportunity for the women to come together, celebrate their traditions and strengthen their social bonds.
