Udaipur: The U-14 and U-19 girls’ basketball teams of St. Mary’s Convent Senior Secondary School, New Fatehpura, Udaipur, delivered an outstanding performance at the CBSE Cluster XIV Basketball Championship 2026, held in Sri Ganganagar from August 15 to 19. Both teams secured gold medals in their respective categories, bringing pride to the school and the city of Udaipur.

The achievement was particularly notable as the U-14 team won the gold medal for the third consecutive time, while the U-19 team claimed the title for the first time. U-19 captain Yuvakshi Mehta and U-14 captain Vidushi Shrimali led their teams with confidence and determination.

Yashasvi Jain (U-14) and Dhruvika Damani (U-19) were named the Best Players of the championship. School coach Narendra Singh Chouhan received the Best Coach Award, while the school was also honoured with the Best Disciplined Team award.

On their return to the school, Principal Sister Kiran Jojo welcomed and congratulated the winning players and coaches. She praised their outstanding performance, hard work and team spirit, and extended her best wishes for the upcoming national championship.

Both teams will represent Rajasthan at the National Basketball Championship, scheduled to be held in Bihar in September. The players are now preparing to continue their winning performance at the national level and bring further glory to Rajasthan and Udaipur.
