The era of vertical films is now upon us in Bihar, a major initiative by Daffodils and Bharat Shree Films. A producer will travel from Mumbai to Bihar, promising to make Bihar the best shooting hub in the country. Patna/Sonpur, August 21, 2026: Big news for the Bollywood OTT industry has emerged from Patna and Sonpur, Bihar. On-location shooting for four new vertical Hindi OTT films, being produced under the banners of Daffodils Entertainment and Bharat Shree Films, has begun today in Patna and Digha-Sonpur. The four films that began shooting simultaneously are: Reporter Saab, Bawal Ho Gaya, Dulhan Faraar, and Quack Doctor. The producers of these films are Satyaketu Singh and Bharat Agarwal, directed by Ashwani Kumar Ashwani, and promoted by Sanjay Bhushan Patiala. The entire team was present at the muhurat ceremony. Speaking about the Bihar background, producer Satyaketu Singh said, "I'm from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and I've been producing films in Mumbai for the past several years. Living abroad, I've realized that Bihar doesn't lack prestige, but it lacks opportunity. I want good, clean, and employment-generating films to be made in Bihar. That's why I've deliberately started shooting these four films not in Mumbai, but in my hometowns of Patna and Sonpur. My goal isn't just to make films, but to inspire other major producers from Mumbai to come and shoot here." He further said, "Bihar has an industry, artists, and stories, but even today, basic shooting facilities are lacking. We still have to import cameras, lights, and prop crew from Mumbai, even though 70% of the technicians working in the industry are from Bihar itself. If a proper line production and technical hub is established in Patna with government support, I can confidently say that Bihar can become the best shooting destination in the entire country." These films feature renowned actors like Adarsh Anand, Nitish Kunal Roy, Prem Kumar, Trishakar Madhu, and Sonu Bolt in key roles. These four films will soon be released on the Rocket Reel OTT platform.
