Udaipur: Aryan Sharma, a talented 17-year-old Class 12 student and para-badminton player of Delhi Public School, Udaipur, has brought laurels to his school, Rajasthan and the country with an impressive performance on the international stage.
Recently, Aryan competed at the World Ability Sport Youth Games 2026 in Mersin, Turkey, where he won gold medals in men’s singles and men’s doubles, besides a silver medal in mixed doubles.
DPS Pro Vice Chairman Govind Agrawal said Aryan has been passionate about badminton since childhood. He has previously won a gold medal at the BWF World Circuit Brazil Para Badminton International 2026 in Brazil. At the national level, he secured gold at the 7th Para Senior National Badminton Championship in Hyderabad and won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the Junior and Youth National Para Badminton Championship.
Principal Sanjay Narwaria said Aryan has been selected for international tournaments scheduled to be held in China and Japan in September. With dedicated training, discipline, confidence and determination, he is now preparing to pursue his Olympic aspirations.
Aryan’s goal is to represent India, win for the country and secure a medal at the Los Angeles Paralympics 2028.
Pro Vice Chairman Govind Agrawal, Principal Sanjay Narwaria and Vice Principal Rajesh Dhabhai congratulated Aryan and his parents and wished him continued success in the future.
