New Delhi: Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the 77th Shriji Huzoor and Shri Ekling Diwan of Mewar, was accorded a warm and distinguished welcome at the India-Sweden Viksit Bharat Summit 2026, held at the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi. He was specially invited to the summit in recognition of his notable contributions to the preservation of India’s cultural heritage, social leadership and nation-building.

The summit brought together policymakers, academicians, industry leaders, investors and distinguished guests from India and abroad. Organisers highlighted Dr. Mewar’s efforts to connect Mewar’s rich and historic traditions with contemporary leadership, while promoting cultural preservation and social service. His initiatives, they said, continue to inspire young people to take pride in India’s civilisational heritage, uphold ethical values and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

Key Highlights of the Summit

The summit commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. In the welcome address, speakers emphasised the need to further strengthen India-Sweden cooperation in the areas of innovation, education, culture and leadership.

Leading industrialists and investors shared their perspectives on youth entrepreneurship and the growing startup ecosystem. The National Council for School Safety and its technical compliance platform were also launched during the summit. Government representatives from India, along with Swedish delegates, shared their views on strengthening student safety and creating secure learning environments.

During the special afternoon session, “Beyond Stardom — Empowering India’s Youth to Dream, Lead and Build Viksit Bharat 2047,” Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar delivered a message to young people, urging them to lead with a strong connection to cultural heritage, ethical values and social responsibility.

The panel also featured Dr. Shriram Nene, film actor Suniel Shetty and Tista Chopra, who shared their perspectives on empowering the next generation and shaping a progressive India.

Priyanka Sharma, Lead for PMO initiatives under the Viksit Bharat campaign and Global Director for Strategy and Development, played a key role in the summit and its proceedings.
