UDAIPUR: Dr. L.S. Jhala, Medical Director of Alakh Nayan Mandir, will represent India at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) International Conference, scheduled to be held in London from September 11 to 14.
Director Laxmi Jhala said Dr. Jhala will present a research paper highlighting the initiatives being undertaken for blindness prevention in Southern Rajasthan, along with modern surgical techniques, recent developments and research in ophthalmology.
Dr. Jhala said the international conference is expected to bring together around 8,000 to 10,000 ophthalmologists from across the world. The conference will provide a platform for experts to exchange knowledge on the latest advancements in cataract surgery, state-of-the-art equipment and emerging technologies in eye care.
Experts at the conference will also discuss innovative research aimed at addressing complex complications associated with eye diseases and improving surgical outcomes.
Dr. Jhala's presentation will highlight the experience and research emerging from Southern Rajasthan in the field of eye care and blindness prevention, providing an opportunity to share regional healthcare initiatives with the international ophthalmic community.
