UDAIPUR, Rajasthan — Geetanjali Hospital has strengthened its pediatric critical care services with the appointment of Dr. Ramesh Chand Bairwa, a specialist in pediatric critical care, as associate professor, senior consultant and PICU in-charge.

Bairwa brings more than 10 years of experience in pediatrics and pediatric intensive care. An MD Pediatrics gold medalist, he completed his FNB in Pediatric Intensive Care from Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bengaluru. His clinical expertise includes the management of critically ill children with acute respiratory distress syndrome, different forms of shock, complex polytrauma and other life-threatening conditions.

Under his leadership, the hospital's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is expected to further strengthen its capacity to provide timely, specialized care to critically ill children.

The 14-bed PICU is equipped with six ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula systems and bedside multiparameter monitoring. Bedside ultrasound is also available to support rapid assessment and clinical decision-making in critically ill patients.

The unit provides advanced critical care interventions, including continuous renal replacement therapy, plasma exchange and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation. Round-the-clock availability of experienced doctors, supported by pediatric super-specialty services, enables a multidisciplinary approach to complex cases.

With Bairwa's clinical expertise and the hospital's critical care infrastructure, Geetanjali Hospital aims to further expand access to advanced pediatric intensive care services for children in Udaipur and Southern Rajasthan.
