Udaipur’s Daughter, Who Hoisted the Tricolour on Five of the World’s Highest Mountain Peaks, Felicitated in Her Home City

Udaipur, August 25: “There is a mountain within every individual. If we can conquer that mountain, we can overcome any challenge in the world,” said Manasvi Agrawal, the Udaipur mountaineer who has hoisted the Tricolour atop five of the world’s highest mountain peaks.

She was speaking at a felicitation ceremony organised by Sukrit Nyas at Hotel Yoish, opposite Occasion Garden, on Tuesday. Sharing her journey, Manasvi stressed the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and sports and urged young people to remain courageous and determined in every situation.

Manasvi expressed gratitude to her parents for always treating her equally to her brothers. She also thanked the Indian and foreign embassies that supported her during the challenges she faced while pursuing her mountaineering achievements.

Her father, T.R. Agrawal, described Generation Z as an energetic generation with immense potential. He said that with the right direction and guidance, today's youth could create many new records. Her mother, Saroj, emphasised the importance of giving children freedom while simultaneously instilling strong values and Indian cultural traditions.

MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat Praises Manasvi’s Achievement

Congratulating Manasvi, Udaipur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat said that Udaipur’s daughter had brought pride not only to the city but to the daughters of Rajasthan as a whole.

Dr. Rawat, who has returned after assuming the responsibility of National President of the BJP Tribal Morcha, stressed the need to identify and fulfil responsibilities in accordance with changing times. He said today’s generation is significantly ahead of previous generations in the world of technology, adding that the older generation too has much to learn from young people.

Addressing the distinguished gathering, Dr. Rawat said even a small idea could eventually become a milestone in the comprehensive development of a region. He called for regular discussions and exchange of ideas aimed at the all-round development of Udaipur, Rajasthan and the country.

Felicitation by Citizens and Organisations

Sukrit Nyas President Manoj Joshi said Manasvi and her parents were felicitated by several dignitaries, including Seema Pareekh, President of the Women’s Unit of Laghu Udyog Bharati; Upasana Dashottar, who works in the field of women’s empowerment; Nyas Treasurer Anita Joshi; Dr. Rajni P. Rawat; and MDS School Founder Dr. Shailendra Somani.

Manasvi was subsequently felicitated by prominent citizens and representatives of various organisations, including Anurag Saxena, Director of Pratap Gaurav Kendra; Govind Agrawal of DPS; former RAS officer S.N. Lathi; Prakash Agrawal of Vatsalya Seva Samiti; and Kshitij Kumbhat, President of Udaipur Citizen Society.

MP Dr. Rawat was also felicitated on his return after being appointed National President of BJP Tribal Morcha. Senior Sukrit Nyas member Brajmohan Bhati, Laghu Udyog Bharati Mahanagar Unit President Rajendra Surana, hotelier Yogesh Kumawat, Rajesh Agrawal and former BJP candidate from Vallabhnagar Himmat Singh Jhala, among others, honoured him. BJP Dehat District President Pushkar Teli was also present on the stage.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Lord Gajanan Maharaj. Sukrit Nyas President Manoj Joshi welcomed the guests, while Nyas General Secretary Dr. Vivek Bhatnagar proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was conducted by Kaushal Mundra.
