Grand Celebration Marks Nursing Day Eve @ GMCH

Udaipur,  An extravagant event commemorating the eve of International Nursing Day was held at the Sw. Narmada Devi Agrawal Auditorium of Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital. The theme for the evening, "Our Nurses: Our Future, the Economic Power of Care," was celebrated with vibrant presentations and performances.

The program commenced with Mr. Vijendra Singh Rathore, Nursing Superintendent of the hospital, extending a warm welcome to all guests and honoring them with floral bouquets. The event began with the lighting of lamps by the chief guest, Vice Chancellor Dr. S. K. Luhadia, and other dignitaries. The festivities kicked off with a captivating Ganesha Vandana performed by the team.

Addressing the audience, the Vice Chancellor of Geetanjali University spoke about the significance of nursing staff and students, shedding light on the vital role nursing plays in a doctor's life. Mr. Rishi Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer of the hospital, elucidated the true essence of the term 'nurse' and highlighted the values essential in a nurse's life.

Dr. Rajiv Pandya, Human Resources Manager of the hospital, emphasized the similarities between Mother's Day and Nursing Day, stating that both roles entail qualities that cannot be expressed in mere words, such as a mother's love and a nurse's compassion.

Cultural performances by hospital staff, including Rajasthani, Punjabi, and traditional presentations, added color to the atmosphere, filling the auditorium with the enthusiastic voices and energy of the students.

The event was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Dr. Harpreet Singh, Medical Superintendent of Geetanjali Hospital, Mr. C. A. Roshan Jain, Finance Controller, Mr. Kalpesh Chand Rajbhar, Deputy General Manager, and Mrs. Vijayamma Ajmera, Principal of the Nursing College.

Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital, the largest private medical institution in Southern Rajasthan, regularly organizes such events to engage and motivate its staff members, ensuring their continued enthusiasm and dedication. Dr. Rajiv Pandya concluded the program by expressing gratitude to all participants for making the event a success. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Radhika Suwalka.
