A visit to R.K. Marbles Mines in Rajsamand, Mines

 

On the occasion of Mining Awareness Day, students of class 12 at Bhupal Nobles Public School were taken on a visit to R.K. Marbles Mines in Rajsamand, Mines. Principal Dr. Seema Naruka informed that the students were acquainted with the utility of mines in their lives and were familiarized with the workings there. Manager Mangilal and Engineer Mohammed Kasim explained that mines and agriculture have become fundamental aspects of our lives. They mentioned that the mine is located 190 meters deep from the surface of the earth, where three types of marbles - white, black, and brown are found, which are used in various ways. There are two main centers for collecting R.K. Marbles where the students were taken. It was mentioned that R.K. Marbles Private Limited has been registered in the Guinness Book for maximum production in a month. Each activity center here is government-approved. The quantity of necessary water for cleaning the mines has been determined. Ammonium nitrate is used for blasting in the mines. Students interested in making a career in the fields of science, commerce, and arts may find ample opportunities available in this sector. Odisha is the leading mineral-producing state in India.
