#### Dr. Laxyaraj Singh Mewar Inaugurates ‘Votri’ in Udaipur

Udaipur, On the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami, Dr. Laxyaraj Singh Mewar, a member of the former Mewar royal family, formally inaugurated ‘Votri’ at Jagdish Marg, Udaipur.

‘Votri’ is a unique platform dedicated to honoring traditional handlooms, ancient crafts, and vibrant cultural practices. It has been established with the aim of reviving and promoting ancient art forms, while also highlighting the skills and livelihoods of artisans.

Speaking about the collection, Founder Mrs. Nivritti Kumari Mewar explained that it represents a fusion of India’s rich cultural traditions—from Patna to Balangir and from Mewar to eastern and western regions of India—creating a space where diverse art forms can thrive and flourish in harmony.

Historically, weavers, craftsmen, and artisans have played distinct roles in India’s centuries-old traditions and rituals, often tied to ancient stories and practices. Through Votri, the platform aims to introduce audiences to these art forms, while ensuring that India’s ancient artistic heritage remains vibrant and prosperous.
