Unique Initiative by Education Minister to Bring Fundamental Reforms in Education

Udaipur,  Rajasthan’s Minister for Education and Panchayati Raj, Madan Dilawar, visited Udaipur and participated as the Chief Guest in an interactive session held at the auditorium of RNT Medical College. The session brought together education officers and principals from Udaipur and Salumbar districts.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Dilawar said that this initiative marks a significant step toward transforming the educational landscape of the state. Encouraging the teachers, he said, “I see in you the image of great teachers from our Indian tradition. In our country, the respect for teachers is supreme — and teachers should live up to that reverence through their conduct.”

Air Force Day Greetings

On the occasion of Indian Air Force Day, the Minister extended greetings and lauded the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces, stating, “Through Operation Sindoor, our forces have demonstrated exemplary courage and valor to the world.” He further emphasized that teachers possess the power to shape good citizens and urged them to dedicate themselves sincerely to the task of nation-building.

Suggestions from Teachers

During the open dialogue, Minister Dilawar invited valuable suggestions from teachers on several key issues — including bringing economically weaker students back into mainstream education, making school prayer sessions more engaging, maintaining continuous learning interest among students, strengthening School Development and Management Committees (SDMCs), and empowering girl education.

He encouraged teachers and parents to maintain communication even after school hours and remarked that the more time teachers dedicate to quality education, the faster the nation will progress.

Government’s Commitment to Teachers’ Welfare

Highlighting the government’s sensitivity towards teachers’ welfare, the Minister said that efforts are underway to ensure that no post remains vacant in the Education Department within the next two years. He informed that over 50,000 promotions have already been granted, and 25,000 more are in process. New posts are being created for newly established schools, and a staffing pattern has been formally recorded.

As part of the event, Minister Dilawar also handed over a cheque of ₹1 lakh as the first insurance claim under a tripartite MoU between the Education Department, Wonder Cement, and State Bank of India (SBI). The claim was awarded to the family of Late Dewaram, who lost his life in an electrical accident.

Experts Reflect on Teachers’ Role

Former Vice Chancellor and educationist Prof. Kailash Sodhani shared that dialogue with teachers forms the foundation of national progress. He stated that every aspect of national development reflects the hard work of teachers, who are the true architects of human potential. He emphasized that promoting work culture and instilling a sense of Indian identity in the younger generation should remain the core of education.

CDEO Pratibha Gupta delivered the welcome address and presented an overview of the district’s educational achievements, innovations, and reports.

The event was attended by Deputy District Head Pushkar Teli, social worker Pramod Samar, Gajpal Singh, OSD Satish Gupta, Surendra Godara, Abhay Rathore, Pratap Singh Tomar, Joint Director of Education (Udaipur Division) Chandrashekhar Joshi, District Education Officer (Secondary) Lokesh Bharti, and Additional District Project Coordinator Nanihal Singh, along with senior officials of the Education Department.
