MLSU's 31st Convocation Scheduled for Thursday

*Udaipur:* The 31st convocation ceremony of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) is scheduled to take place on Thursday at the Vivekananda Auditorium at 11 AM. The event will witness the presence of Chancellor and Governor Kalraj Mishra, along with Vice-Chancellor Professor Sunita Mishra, who will confer gold medals to meritorious students and award Ph.D. degrees to deserving scholars. The convocation address will be delivered by the Vice-Chancellor of Gujarat Central University, Professor Rama Shankar Dubey.

Dr. Kunjan Acharya, the university spokesperson, mentioned that all students receiving degrees and medals are required to report in the designated attire at the Department of Environmental Science at 9 AM, two hours prior to the commencement of the program.

During the convocation ceremony, a total of 115 students scoring the highest marks in various disciplines will be honored with gold medals. This includes 82 female students and 33 male students who will be awarded gold medals. The gold medals include 7 Chancellor's Gold Medals, 2 in memory of Dr. P.C. Ranka, 7 in memory of Dr. C.B. Memorial, 2 in memory of Prof. Vijay Shrimalli, 1 in memory of Vijay Singh Devpura, and 1 in memory of Prof. Lalit Shankar - Pushpa Devi Sharma.

Additionally, a total of 186 Ph.D. degrees will be awarded on this occasion, including 100 female and 86 male scholars. The Ph.D. degrees span various disciplines, including 21 in Commerce, 12 in Earth Science, 20 in Education, 41 in Humanities, 3 in Law, 6 in Management Studies, 37 in Science, and 46 in Social Science.

The convocation ceremony will be presided over by Chancellor Professor Sunita Mishra, and a pre-practice program was organized on Wednesday under her leadership, which involved the participation of all deans and directors.
