State-Level Music Festival by Shayrana Udaipur Enthralls Audience with Stellar Performances

Udaipur: A vibrant state-level music festival organized by Shayrana Udaipur, which has been serving music and literature selflessly for the past 15 years, was held at Aishwarya College परिसर. The event brought together talented artists and music lovers from across Rajasthan, creating an atmosphere filled with melody and emotion.

The समारोह was graced by former Additional District Collector Dinesh Kothari as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included eminent musicians and judges such as Pandit Ram Krishna Bose, Devyani Sengupta, Abha Sirsikar, Prashant Kumar, and Manoj Porwal. The event was presided over by Dr. Seema Singh, Managing Director of Aishwarya College.

Artists and judges alike mesmerized the audience with their soulful performances. Participants and music enthusiasts from cities including Mumbai, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Kota, Udaipur, Kankroli, and Pratapgarh added energy and enthusiasm to the event. According to program coordinator Manish Joshi, over 60 participants competed in categories such as ghazal, film songs, classical singing, and instrumental-accompanied performances.

In the competition, Hemraj Gandharv emerged as the winner, followed by Mahendra Kumawat (Rajsamand) in second place, while Dr. Premlata Sharma secured third position. Winners were honored with trophies, T-shirts, pens, traditional turbans, stoles, and membership of the Shayrana Udaipur family.

A major highlight of the event was the captivating santoor performance by Pandit Ram Krishna Bose, whose self-composed renditions immersed the entire auditorium in musical bliss. His fusion of classical notes with popular film tunes had the audience humming along. He also presented a rare vocal style—Trivat Chaturang—based on Raag Malkosh, while accompanying himself on tabla, leaving the audience spellbound.

Judge Devyani Sengupta presented a devotional composition by Rabindranath Tagore, while Abha Sirsikar’s bhajan performance filled the atmosphere with spiritual fervor. Dr. Seema Singh, along with noted musician Faiyaz Khan, elevated the evening with soulful ghazal renditions.

Renowned ghazal singer Dr. Devendra Singh Hiran shared nuanced insights into ghazal singing, while Mumbai-based musician Manoj Porwal inspired budding singers with a practical demonstration of vocal techniques.

The event was gracefully anchored by Dr. Premlata Sharma and world record holder Manoj Aanchaliya, who blended poetry, couplets, and rhythm into a captivating presentation. Several artists including Braj Mohan Vashishtha, Dr. Devendra Sahu, Divyani Sharma, Nishit Chaplot, Lalit Goyal, Manzoor Hussain, and others impressed the audience with their performances.

Additionally, Manoj Aanchaliya and Dr. Seema Ved shared information about their remarkable record—documenting India’s freedom struggle, including stories of unsung heroes, on a 21,000-feet-long cloth.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by coordinator Lalit Goyal, marking the successful culmination of a musical evening that beautifully celebrated art, culture, and talent.
