Short Films by Shine India to Inspire Eye and Organ Donation

Udaipur, Under the guidance and support of Shine India Foundation, three short films — Masoom Chahat, Umeed, and Asli Jeet — have been produced to inspire people towards eye and organ donation.

Founder Secretary Dr. Sangeeta informed that the organization has been working for the past 14 years to connect children, youth, and senior citizens with various social causes. She emphasized that short films have a profound emotional and psychological impact on people of all ages and backgrounds. The foundation aims to spread awareness about the importance of eye and organ donation through these films.

In Umeed, visually impaired child artist Garvit portrays the hope of receiving light through eye donation. In Masoom Chahat, child artist Insha appeals for organ donation to save her mother suffering from a heart ailment. Similarly, in Asli Jeet, actor Saurabh dedicates his victory in sports to an organ donor.

The short films are directed by Waqar Ahmed Gauri, with cinematography by Sanjay Verma, produced by Shine India. The screenplay was written by Dr. Kulwant Gaur and Waqar Ahmed, featuring artists Rekha Verma, Megha Pathak, Saurabh Bairagi, and Suman Lata Maheshwari.

Founder Dr. Kulwant Gaur shared that these films will soon be screened across various wards and panchayats of the Kota Division through projectors. Additionally, screenings will be organized in all government and private schools of the division to raise awareness among students about eye and organ donation.
