Two-Day Inspection Completed at RNT Medical College

Government Orders Statewide Safety Audit

Following the recent fire incident at SMS Hospital in Jaipur, a statewide safety inspection drive has been initiated across all medical colleges and associated hospitals. The campaign has been conducted under the direction of the Medical Education Department, and comprehensive assessments have been carried out based on a 49-point safety checklist, covering structural stability, electrical security, fire safety systems, entry-exit control, sanitation, and lighting.

A special inspection team from Jaipur completed a two-day review at RNT Medical College, Udaipur. It was informed by College Principal Dr. Vipin Mathur that the entire campus had been assessed thoroughly, and further action would be taken as per government instructions. Detailed reports outlining deficiencies and risks have been mandated to be submitted immediately for corrective action.

Old electrical panels, loose wiring, damaged plaster, and outdated fire systems have been prioritized for urgent rectification. High-risk zones are set to receive CCTV and alarm systems, and updated Fire NOC compliance has been made mandatory for buildings taller than 15 meters.
