Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav 2.0 on PM Modi’s Birthday

Udaipur,  On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Udaipur will host the Blood Donation Amrit Mahotsav 2.0 on 17 September, supported by the Government of India. The event is being organized by the All India Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP), which has planned more than 7,500 blood donation camps across 75 countries, making it the world’s largest blood donation campaign.

During a press conference held at Mahapragya Vihar, Sukher, Ashok Chordia, President of ABTYP Udaipur, said that the date coincides with the 61st Foundation Day of ABTYP, and the celebration is being dedicated as a “Humanity-Yajna” through mass blood donation. Since 9 September, Indian Railways has also been spreading awareness about blood donation by printing messages on railway tickets.

101 Women to Donate Blood

City in-charge Neeraj Samar informed that 16 camps will be organized in Udaipur city alone. A QR code has been released for prior registration, though on-spot registration will also be available. Every donor will receive a certificate of appreciation issued by the Government of India.

Women’s participation will be a special highlight this year, with a target of at least 101 women donors from Udaipur. Women-led teams have been formed to motivate participation. Alongside ABTYP, Jain Social Group, Oswal Sabha, and other social organizations are actively supporting the drive.

The press conference was also attended by ABTYP Udaipur Secretary Vinit Phulfagar, North Zone Coordinator Sandeep Hingad, Mewar Coach Abhishek Pokharna, ABTYP member Ajit Chhajed, Mewar Coordinator Bhupesh Khamesra, social worker Devilal Salvi, and Tushar Mehta.
