#### Rajasthan to Commemorate the Sacrifice of Bhagwan Birsa Munda through “Tribal Pride Year 2025”

Udaipur: As per the directives of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, a series of special events will be organized across Rajasthan from November 1 to 15, 2025, under the banner of “Tribal Pride Year”, dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. According to the state government’s guidelines, awareness, cultural, health, education, and development-related programs will be held extensively from the Gram Panchayat level up to the district level, involving multiple departments.

Divisional Commissioner and Acting District Collector Ms. Pragya Kevlramani chaired a preparatory meeting on Friday at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office with officials from all concerned departments.

Organized and Dignified Celebrations – Pragya Kevlramani

Addressing the meeting, Ms. Kevlramani said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda sacrificed his life for social awakening and freedom, and his 150th birth anniversary will be celebrated as Tribal Pride Year to honor his legacy. She directed all departments to ensure that each daily event is conducted in a systematic and dignified manner, in accordance with the instructions issued by the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary.

The meeting was attended by ADM (Administration) Dipendra Singh Rathore, CEO, District Council Ria Dabi, ACEO Veeramaram, Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Dinesh Mandowra, Deputy Director, Local Self-Government Vinod Kumar, Chief District Education Officer Pratibha Gupta, Superintending Engineer, UDA Anit Mathur, Deputy Director, ICDS Nandlal Meghwal, Deputy Director, Women Empowerment Sanjay Joshi, Deputy Director, Tourism Shikha Saxena, CMHO Dr. Ashok Aditya, Assistant Director, College Education Dr. Satish Kumar Acharya, Dr. Vinod Kumar Meena (MLSU), Assistant Director, CDEO Dinesh Bansal, Additional Director, DOIT Shweta Damor, and other officials.

Schedule of Events

November 1: Painting competitions on tribal culture, tradition, and art in Eklavya Model Residential Schools under the Department of Tribal Regional Development.
November 2: Benefit saturation camps under the aegis of the Department of Information Technology and Communication; awareness programs at e-Mitra centers to promote digital public services.
November 3: Speech, essay, and painting competitions in schools highlighting the life and ideals of Bhagwan Birsa Munda (organized by the Department of Secondary Education).
November 4: Special lectures, essay, and speech competitions on Bhagwan Birsa Munda in colleges (organized by the Department of Higher Education).
November 6–11: Six-day woodcraft workshop conducted by the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) under the Department of Tribal Regional Development.
November 7: Farmer seminars and discussions on agricultural schemes and the vision of Bhagwan Birsa Munda (organized by the Department of Agriculture).
November 8: Awareness programs and formation of self-help groups at Van Dhan Vikas Kendras through Rajeevika (organized by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj).
November 9: Speech, essay, and painting competitions in TAD residential schools and hostels (organized by the Department of Tribal Regional Development).
November 10–11: Two-day national seminar on “Tribal Life and Indian Culture: Nature in Indian Knowledge Traditions” at Mohanlal Sukhadia University (organized by the Department of Higher Education).
November 11: Health check-up camps for women, especially tribal women, at Anganwadi centers (organized by the Department of Women and Child Development).
November 12: Health awareness campaigns and medical camps at the block level (organized by the Department of Medical and Health).
November 13: Illumination of public parks, squares, and prominent buildings (organized by the Department of Urban Development and Local Self-Government).
November 14: Screening of documentaries on Bhagwan Birsa Munda, freedom fighters, and saints in cinema halls; development exhibition organized in collaboration with DIPR (organized by the District Administration).

Grand Celebrations on November 15 – From Panchayat to State Level

On November 15, marking Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti, programs will be held from the Panchayat level to the State level. The state-level function will be broadcast live to all Panchayats.

At the Gram Panchayat level, Gram Sabha meetings, service camps with distribution of pending land deeds, processions, and live screenings of the main event will be organized. Under the Adi Karmyogi Abhiyan, grievance redressal camps will be set up at Adi Seva Kendras.

At the block level, processions, conferences, meetings, and live telecasts of the national event will be held, along with lighting and decoration in urban areas.

At the district level, exhibitions dedicated to Bhagwan Birsa Munda, tribal freedom fighters, and saints, along with health and benefit saturation camps and cultural programs, will mark the culmination of the Tribal Pride Year 2025 celebrations.
