A grand foundation ceremony of Delhi Chapter

New Delhi, . Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has said that there is a need to preserve the cultural heritage of Rajasthan in the new generation and carry forward the rich tradition of the state.

Addressing as the chief guest the cultural and literary evening “Virasat aur Vichar” jointly organized by Rajasthan Foundation and Rajasthani Mitra Mandal at Adhyatma Sadhna Kendra, Chhatarpur, New Delhi on Sunday evening to establish the Delhi chapter of Rajasthan Foundation and to honor CA Dr. Ramavtar Kila as the first president, Meghwal said that this organization of Virasat aur Vichar seminar is not only an opportunity to connect with our cultural roots, but is also an inspiring guideline for the future generations. The glorious tradition, language and thoughts of Rajasthan are our real identity.

He specially praised the newly appointed President of Rajasthan Foundation Delhi Chapter Dr. Kila for the work being done for social service, education and cultural awareness by distributing free food and accommodation to migrants and poor in AIIMS and hospitals of New Delhi.

As special guests in the function, Rajasthan's Minister of State for Industry and Commerce, Sports and Youth Affairs, Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship and Policy Making, K.K. Vishnoi, senior administrative officers, people associated with society and culture participated. The dignified presence of expatriate Rajasthani industrialists K.C. Jain and office bearers of various organisations at the ceremony made the event more inspiring.

Minister of State K.K. Vishnoi said that this effort to preserve and promote the sweetness of Rajasthani language, depth of literature and rich heritage of culture is highly commendable. Commissioner of Rajasthan Foundation, Dr. Manisha Arora (IAS) congratulated the establishment of Delhi Chapter and underlined the expanding role of the Foundation at the national level.

The speakers praised the social service of CA Dr. Ramavatar Kila and said that he is a renowned chartered accountant, educationist and social worker who has done many remarkable works in the fields of health, education and public welfare. In his presidential address, he talked about making Delhi Chapter a platform that encourages culture, dialogue and youth participation.

The program started with traditional welcome, lighting of lamps and Ganesh Vandana, after which a beautiful cultural dance was presented. In the literary session, speakers from various fields shared their views like IRS Additional Commissioner, Customs Dinesh Jangid, Gyanshree School, Noida Senior Instructor Performing Arts (Music) Rohit Gehlot, Dr. Devi Lal Godra, Post-Doctoral Fellow, JNU, Journalist Dr. Meena Jangid etc.

Individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the society were felicitated in the function. Rajasthani folk music presented by The Folk Caravan made the function memorable.

This unique celebration of “Heritage and Ideas” was not only a proud debut by the Delhi Chapter of Rajasthan Foundation but also strongly demonstrated the spirit of cultural unity, leadership and social service.
