The three-day Mevad Mahotsav kicked off with great enthusiasm and grandeur on Thursday. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Pichola Lake, the festival witnessed a unique blend of local culture and traditions. Various traditional events showcased during the festival provided a glimpse into the rich heritage of Mevad along with the scenic beauty of the lakes.

From the old city's clock tower to Gangaur Ghat, processions were organized by different communities, showcasing the grandeur of Gangaur in traditional attire. Amidst folk songs and dances, the procession of Gangaur added a charming touch to the environment, making it serene and attractive.

The royal procession of Gangaur from Banshi Ghat to Gangaur Ghat, accompanied by royal pomp and grandeur, remained a special attraction. The rhythmic beats of traditional music and the soothing sounds of the waves of Pichola Lake enchanted everyone, capturing their attention.

The atmosphere in Udaipur city resembled that of a festival on Thursday evening. The procession of Gangaur from various streets of the city to Gangaur Ghat mesmerized everyone with its enchanting view. The amalgamation of traditional musical instruments, bands, and drums created a festive mood.

The statues of revered Gangaur and Isar Ji, worshipped as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati during the Gangaur festival, remained a special attraction. Adorned with attractive attire and ornaments, the statues of Gangaur and Isar Ji attracted everyone.

Despite the rain, tourists showed great enthusiasm. Every year, the Mevad Mahotsav, which is famous worldwide, is attended by enthusiastic foreign tourists, and this year was no exception. Despite the rain in the evening, people's excitement for the event remained undiminished. It was particularly noteworthy that some domestic and foreign tourists also participated in the event wearing Rajasthani attire.
