Udaipur, The long-awaited missing link road connecting Haridas Ji Ki Magri with Pichola Ring Road has been completed along with drainage works. UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain informed that the project, sanctioned at a cost of ₹91.83 lakh, involved CC pavement and drainage construction. With this link, residents of Haridas Ji Ki Magri and nearby areas will now directly access the Pichola Ring Road, making the lakeside zone available for daily walks and recreation.
Earlier, the absence of a planned connecting road hindered the proper upkeep of the Ring Road, leading to unhygienic conditions. The new construction will now allow systematic maintenance while preserving the lake’s ecological balance and enabling development works as per collective consensus.
Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Gulabchand Kataria, will inaugurate the project on Sunday at 3:30 PM. The ceremony will be chaired by Cabinet Minister Babulal Kharadi, with MP Mannalal Rawat and Rajya Sabha member Chunnilal Garasiya as special guests. MLA Tarachand Jain, MLA Phool Singh Meena, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kewalramani, Zila Pramukh Mamta Kunwar, and Collector Namit Mehta will also grace the occasion.
