Udaipur, Udaipur witnessed a remarkable show of strength in local politics on Monday as Kamini Gurjar, a prominent Congress woman leader and Zila Parishad member, asserted her claim for the District President post, leading a high-energy demonstration with her supporters.
Under the Organization Creation Campaign led by the All India Congress Committee, in-charges Yashomati Thakur, PCC in-charge Chetan Dudi, Abhishek Choudhary, and Govind Daga were welcomed with unprecedented enthusiasm under Kamini Gurjar’s leadership.
The event saw robust participation of women and youth, with around 150–200 workers, including a significant number of women, joining the reception. The entrance was decorated elaborately, and as the in-charges arrived, a JCB machine showered flowers, creating a spectacular welcome. Guests were honored traditionally with Mewari pagdi and uparna, while the sound of dhols and Congress slogans energized the atmosphere.
Kamini Gurjar said,
“I am working to strengthen the Congress at the grassroots level and to bring women into the mainstream of leadership. The ideology of Congress and Udaipur’s tradition are both based on service, respect, and dialogue. I wish to move forward with these values.”
Local workers considered the event a signal of the rise of women’s leadership in Udaipur, while senior leaders present appreciated Kamini Gurjar’s organizational energy and welcomed the infusion of new vigor into the party.
