INDIAN ARMY RESCUES STRANDED INDIVIDUAL USING DRONES IN AYAD RIVER, UDAIPUR

Jaipur,   In a unique and innovative method using drones, Indian Army averted a tragedy on 6 September 2025 in Udaipur by successfully rescuing an individual from the swollen waters of River Ayad.




       

 

 

 

At approximately 1500 Hours Headquarters Trimshat Brigade of Battle Axe Division received a request from the District Collector, Udaipur, seeking urgent assistance to save a 30-year-old man trapped in midstream  near General Area Hiran Magri amidst heavy rains.

Responding promptly, a rescue team from an Infantry Battalion of the Brigade comprising of two officers, two Junior Commissioned Officers and ten Other Ranks reached the site. Demonstrating innovation and resolve, gallant troops of Indian Army employed a drone to deliver a rope and safety jacket to the stranded individual. Thereafter, the individual was extricated safely at around 1850 hrs. The entire operation was successfully executed in coordination with SDRF, Rajasthan.
     

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 The operation once again underscores the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to provide assistance to civil authorities and safeguard the lives of citizens.
