MP Dr. Rawat Appeals to External Affairs Minister for Safe Return of Udaipur Citizens Stranded in Nepal

Udaipur,Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat has written an email to External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Wednesday, requesting immediate arrangements for the safety and return of Udaipur citizens stranded in different parts of Nepal. The Ministry of External Affairs has already initiated action on this appeal.

Dr. Rawat informed that he was apprised by former All India Menaria Samaj President and local community members that 33 people from Panerio Ki Madri, Udaipur, who had travelled to Nepal, have been stranded for the past three days at a hotel near Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu. A complete list of these 33 names was provided by the Menaria community. In addition, information has been received regarding some other Udaipur residents also being stranded in Nepal.

Accordingly, Dr. Rawat forwarded the details to the External Affairs Minister via email, urging that all citizens be ensured safety and brought back to Udaipur at the earliest. He confirmed that the Ministry has begun the necessary process and expressed confidence that all individuals would soon be returning safely to India.

Dr. Rawat also mentioned that further details of other Udaipur residents stuck in Nepal are being collected and will be shared with the Ministry. He affirmed that the Government of India is making serious efforts to safeguard and repatriate every Indian citizen, with dedicated help centres already established.

For immediate assistance, Rajasthan Police has set up a special cell for Nepal-return cases with helpline numbers 0141-2740832 and 0141-2741807, along with a WhatsApp helpline 9784942702.
