Udaipur,A tribute meeting was held at the Congress Media Centre in Dhanmandi to mark the 25th death anniversary of former Union Minister Late Rajesh Pilot and the birth anniversary of the pioneer of tribal consciousness, farmer leader Motilal Tejawat.
On this occasion, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Sharma lit a ceremonial lamp and offered floral tributes before the portraits of both revered leaders.
In his address, Sharma said, “Rajesh Pilot was not just a politician; he was the voice of farmers, soldiers, and rural India. His life was marked by struggle and unwavering commitment to public issues at every platform. Motilal Tejawat, who led historic mass movements for the rights and dignity of the tribal community, remains a timeless source of inspiration.”
He emphasized that the true tribute to these iconic leaders lies in embracing their ideologies and putting their values into practice in today’s socio-political environment.
Senior party workers, representatives of social organizations, youth, and intellectuals including Sanjay Mandvani, Kripa Shankar Mishra, Narendra Jain, Ramesh Chandra Sharma, and Bhavesh Sharma were present at the event.
Speakers at the gathering fondly recalled the contributions and struggles of both leaders and pledged to work towards rebuilding the India they envisioned. The discussions reflected a collective sentiment — that the country still needs dedicated leadership committed to public welfare and voicing the concerns of the marginalized.
The program concluded with a collective moment of silence and a unified pledge to work for the nation’s welfare.
