International Women's Day Celebrated at MLSU

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Mohanlal Sukhadia University organized a program led by the Education and Management Studies Departments. The event, held under the collaborative efforts of both departments, commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests including Professor Sunita Mishra, the Vice-Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Professor Meera Mathur, Director of the Management Studies Department, Professor Digvijay Bhatnagar, President of the Education Department, and Professor Rajshree Chaudhari, Controller of the Law Department. Dr. Alpana Singh, Head of the Education Department, inaugurated the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati.


To celebrate and honor the multifaceted roles of women, a dance-drama portraying the nine forms of the goddess was presented. The program, emphasizing the essential role of both men and women in society, featured presentations by students from the Education Department.

The event also showcased presentations by students from the Management Studies Department. Professor Sunita Mishra, in her address, stressed the importance of setting and achieving goals and encouraged continuous progress. She highlighted the significance of mutual respect between men and women, emphasizing that both are indispensable pillars of society. Professor Meera Mathur also addressed the program, echoing themes of empowerment and progress. Professor Rajshree Chaudhari, the Controller of the Law Department, delivered a speech focusing on women's rights, current initiatives for women's empowerment, and their status in society.

The program was efficiently conducted by Dr. Kumud Purohit and Dr. Sapna Mavatwal. Professor Digvijay Bhatnagar expressed gratitude towards the organizers. The event saw the participation of heads of various university departments, departmental heads, faculty members, and students from the Management Studies and Education Departments.
