Youth Empowerment Program at Sai Tirupati University

Udaipur: , The University Grants Commission (UGC), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, initiated a nationwide campaign titled 'Illuminate India's Journey by 2047: A Vision for a Developed India' to raise awareness among the youth of the country. As part of the preliminary assessment by the Higher Education Department, the country conducted specialized educational programs by organizing various experiential teaching programs.

Sai Tirupati University (STU), Udaipur, facilitated participation in this program through the link provided by the UGC. STU was assigned the responsibility of conducting three specific activities: an essay competition, poster competition, and debate under the theme 'Lifestyle for Environmental Initiative: Life'.

The management, faculty, staff, undergraduate, and postgraduate students of STU enthusiastically participated in this program. Thirty students participated in the poster competition on the topic 'Lifestyle for Environmental Initiative: Life', including students from all batches, including interns and MBBS students. Following this, an essay competition was organized with the participation of 50 students. Fifteen students participated in the debate competition. The adjudication of all these events was done by senior faculty members.

A large number of students, teachers, and staff attended all the programs, encouraging participants. Chairman Ashish Agrawal and Mrs. Sheetal Agrawal provided all the necessary facilities and resources for the smooth conduct of the university-level programs. STU's Chancellor Dr. B.L. Kumar, Registrar Dr. Devendra Jain, Principal and Controller Dr. Sureshchandra Goyal, Medical Superintendent Dr. Chandra Mathur, and the entire university administration provided unconditional support and assistance for the successful implementation of the program. The evaluation of various activities was conducted by Dr. Praveen Khairkar, Dr. Hariram, Dr. Nitesh Mangal, and Dr. Chintan Doshi. The program was coordinated by Professor and Head of the Community Medicine Department, Dr. Dilipkumar Parikh. Members of the Community Medicine Department, medical social workers, and employees actively contributed to the organization of this event."
