International Conference on AI, Blockchain and Sustainable Development at SPSU

Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur organised an International Conference on ‘Navigating the future, AI, Blockchain and Sustainable Development in the G20 world’ on April 19 – 20, 2024. It centered on exploring the potential synergies between AI and blockchain, their impact on industries and economies, and their role in advancing sustainable development goals.


The conference was inaugurated by the Guest of Honours Mr. Ajay Kumar Saraogi, Deputy Managing Director and CFO J K Cement and Prof. (Dr.) Narendra Singh Rathore, Campus Director, Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur. Prof. (Dr.) Prithvi Yadav, the Honourable Vice Chancellor and President, SPSU, in his inaugural speech, highlighting the SDGs emphasized on the collaboration between technology, sustainability, and global governance for advancing human progress. Dr. N S Rathore reflected on the transformative potential of technology and clarion call on the ethical considerations surrounding AI. Col (Dr.) Sanjay Sinha, Vice President & Head of Education, Education Vertical - JK Cement, highlighted how AI, blockchain, and cloud computing are driving social and economic development in our nation. The abstract book ‘The Essence’ was released by the Dignitaries during the inaugural ceremony.


The keynote speakers from USA, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, NITI Ayog, Qatar, Thailand, Vietnam, USA contributed their insights on global challenges and collaborative futures. The distinguished speakers Prof. Sivaneasan Bala Krishnan, Singapore Institute of Technology, Mr. Shubham Chatterjee, Head of Education & Academia, SAS India, and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Diwan, Founder and MD, Idealabs, Hyderabad emphasized the imperative of technological integration for sustainable progress and amelioration, resonating deeply with the collective vision for a brighter future.

Over 80 paper presentations from esteemed institutions across the country discussed the integration of AI and blockchain technologies, economic impacts, role in global sustainable development. The conference resulted in a MoU with Idealabs Future Tech Ventures, Hyderabad for setting up ‘Start-up Studio and Incubation Centre’ and research collaboration with Singapore Institute of Technology.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Sadananda Prusty, Dean, School of Management acknowledging the collective efforts that led to conference's success. Dr. Prasun Chakrabarti and Dr. Shweta Lalwani were the Conference Co-Chair and Convenor for the conference.
