2023 Assembly General Elections: Inspection by District Electoral Officer

Sriganganagar, October 31: During the 2023 Assembly General Elections, the District Electoral Officer, Mr. Anshdeep, and the Superintendent of Police, Mr. Vikas Sharma, conducted an inspection of the activities being carried out by the Flying Squad (FS) and Static Surveillance Team (SST) in the Surtgarh constituency. Subsequently, they visited the Surtgarh SDM office to oversee the arrangements for nominations.

Earlier, the District Electoral Officer and the Superintendent of Police also reviewed the inspection and inquiry activities conducted by the FS and SST teams near Sardargarh Farms. During this visit, the District Electoral Officer gave instructions to team leaders to ensure the proper checking of all vehicles. The Superintendent of Police, Mr. Sharma, also instructed the regular inspection of cars, jeeps, and buses, emphasizing the importance of coordination between the FS and SST teams to ensure a successful operation.

Following this, the District Electoral Officer and the Superintendent of Police visited the Returning Officer (RO) and SDM offices. At these offices, they reviewed the arrangements and provided necessary guidance to the personnel involved in the nomination process. The District Electoral Officer emphasized the need to provide all applicants with essential information during the nomination process. During this occasion, Mr. Sandeep Kumar, the Returning Officer, along with the CEO, Tehsildar, and the Police Station in-charge, were present.
