One-Day Seminar on CBSE-Directed Capacity Building Program Held at Bhupal Nobles Public School

Udaipur: A successful one-day seminar on the CBSE-directed “Capacity Building Program – Environmental Education and Conservation Resources” was organized at Bhupal Nobles Public School to raise local awareness about environmental conservation. The program saw enthusiastic participation from the school’s teachers as well as educators from various schools across Rajasthan.

The seminar commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The school principal, Dr. Seema Naruka, in her address, emphasized that environmental protection is no longer just an academic subject but a crucial responsibility. She noted that such seminars familiarize teachers with innovative teaching methods, enabling them to cultivate sensitivity and responsibility towards the environment among students.

The chief guests and speakers for the seminar were Mrs. Rashminder Kaur Virdee and Mr. Samuel Francis. Both experts provided detailed insights on the importance of environmental education, natural resource conservation, water management, afforestation, biodiversity, and pollution control.

Mrs. Rashminder Kaur Virdee highlighted the importance of involving students in hands-on activities such as tree-planting campaigns, water conservation projects, recycling initiatives, poster-making, and community awareness programs. She emphasized that such practical involvement ensures students go beyond theoretical knowledge and actively participate in environmental protection.

Mr. Samuel Francis elaborated on the concept of sustainable development, stressing that responsible actions today are essential to provide a safe and clean environment for future generations. He stated, “Sustainable development is achievable only when education nurtures environmentally conscious and sensitive citizens.”

The event was also attended by the Chairman of the School Management Committee, Mr. Hanumant Singh Boheda, who said, “Environmental protection should not be limited to a single day or program but must become an integral part of our daily lives. Schools play a critical role in instilling love, sensitivity, and responsibility towards nature among children.” He urged teachers to motivate students to adopt small practical steps, such as water conservation, reducing plastic usage, and planting more trees.

During the program, participants were informed about various environmental activities, local initiatives, and actionable steps that can be implemented at the community level. The experts stressed the importance of establishing environmental clubs in schools, adopting the “Green Campus” concept, and regularly conducting activities that connect students with nature.

The seminar concluded with a felicitation ceremony where the chief guests were presented with mementos, followed by the school anthem. The program proved to be both educational and inspiring for teachers, motivating all participants to integrate environmental conservation practices into their daily lives.
