Lord Mahavir Birth Anniversary Celebrations Begin Today in Bhilwara

The three-day extravaganza celebrating the auspicious occasion of Lord Mahavir's Birth Anniversary, organized by the entire Shwetambar Jain community of Bhilwara, is set to kick off today. The festivities will commence with a collective chanting of the Navkar Mantra from 8 to 9 PM at Shantibhavan. Extensive preparations have been made for this event.

On the eve of Lord Mahavir's Birth Anniversary, a grand Bhajan Evening titled "An Evening in the Name of Lord Mahavir" will be held at Chitrakutdham from 7:30 PM on April 20. Sushil Chaplot, the coordinator of the Mahotsav Committee, stated that thousands of Jain devotees from various parts of Bhilwara city will participate in the Navkar Mantra chanting event at Modi Hall in Shantibhavan, expressing their wishes for universal well-being and peace.

The coordination team, comprising Sunil Pipada and co-coordinators Prakash Babel and Gaurav Tathe, along with other committee members, have been actively involved in finalizing the arrangements for the events. Under the umbrella of the three-day celebration, a Questionnaire Competition on Lord Mahavir will be organized on April 20 at 1 PM in Shantibhavan, along with a short play depicting the life of Lord Mahavir.

Furthermore, on the evening of April 20, a grand Bhajan Evening titled "An Evening in the Name of Lord Mahavir" will be held, featuring performances by renowned local talents selected through auditions. Nirmal Gokhru, the deputy coordinator of the committee, mentioned that on the morning of Lord Mahavir's Birth Anniversary on April 21, Prabhat Ferries will be organized in various parts of the city from 5:30 AM.

The majestic Abhishek of Lord Mahavir Swami will take place at Shri Jain Shwetambar Chintamani Parshwanath Temple from 7 to 8 AM. Following this, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at Mahavir Park at 8 AM, followed by a grand procession through the city's main thoroughfares. The procession will culminate at Chitrakutdham, where a vast communal feast will be organized, expecting the participation of around 15,000 community members.

In addition, on this occasion, a massive blood donation camp will be organized by the Shri Mahavir Yuva Mandal Seva Sansthan, with the aim of serving humanity in need, at Chitrakutdham. Under the guidance of the festival committee's supervisors, including Kanwarlal Suriya, Mahendra Chhajed, Jasraj Chauradia, Vinod Bamb, Anand Pipada, co-coordinator Yogesh Chandaliya, and others, preparations have been made to ensure the success of various events under the festival.
