12th Monthly Lecture by Dr. Manoj Mahajan on Cancer Prevention and Treatment

Udaipur: Under the joint auspices of the D.S. Kothari Institute and the Vigyan Samiti, a monthly lecture was organized as part of the ongoing lecture series. On this occasion, Dr. Manoj Mahajan, Director of the Department of Oncology, Pacific Medical University, delivered an insightful and informative talk on the topic of Cancer Prevention and Treatment.

Dr. Mahajan highlighted the five major causes of cancer and emphasized that a healthy lifestyle, regular physical exercise, and a balanced diet play a crucial role in preventing cancer. He stated that in the present scenario, cancer has emerged as a serious and widespread health challenge; however, early screening and timely diagnosis can effectively control the disease. He further explained that when cancer is detected in the first or second stage, the chances of successful treatment increase significantly.

The program was chaired by Dr. I.L. Jain, Senior Physician.

The speaker was welcomed by Er. R.K. Chatur, President of the D.S. Kothari Institute, and Dr. K.L. Kothari, Chief Patron.

Expressing his vote of thanks, Dr. Mahip Bhatnagar, President of Vigyan Samiti, shared his views on the importance of early detection of cancer and public awareness.

Dr. K.P. Talesra introduced Dr. Mahajan, while the program was conducted by Er. M.P. Jain, General Secretary of the institution.

Biochemist and Media In-charge Prof. Dr. Vimal Sharma stated, *“The most effective weapon in the fight against cancer is awareness, timely screening, and a disciplined lifestyle.”*

The program was attended by several distinguished citizens, including Dr. R.K. Garg, Dr. Munish Goyal (IAS), Dr. K.L. Totawat, Dr. Sujan Singh, Er. Ashok Jain, Er. R.K. Nebhanani, Mrs. Renu Bhandari, Er. R.K. Khokhawat, Mrs. Madhu Mittal, Er. Gaurang Shah, and many others.
