Threat to Blow Up Rajasthan Assembly with RDX Found to Be Fake

Jaipur: The threat to blow up the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly with RDX has been confirmed as false, and the situation has returned to normal after a thorough investigation by security agencies.

Following an email threat regarding a possible RDX explosion at the Rajasthan Assembly, Speaker Vasudev Devnani immediately informed the State Director General of Police, taking the matter seriously. He continuously monitored the situation and urged Assembly officials and staff to remain calm, while also boosting their morale.

As a precautionary measure, the Assembly परिसर was evacuated, and bomb disposal squads along with special police units reached the spot and conducted a detailed inspection. Speaker Devnani stated that the entire premises was checked by an anti-sabotage team using necessary technical equipment. He confirmed that no explosive material or suspicious object was found during the inspection. The anti-sabotage team in-charge from the Police Commissionerate later issued a formal clearance certificate to the Assembly.

He further stated that after a detailed technical and security check by agencies, it was established that the threat was completely fake. Following the clearance, Assembly Secretariat officials and staff returned to their workplaces, and normalcy was restored.

The Speaker also mentioned that the content of the email had no connection with the Rajasthan Assembly. The message reportedly contained unrelated and misleading references, including statements such as advising that no Brahmin should join the DMK and mentioning SV Sekhar’s entry into the DMK, along with the threat to blow up the Assembly. He termed the email as misleading and baseless.

Speaker Devnani said cyber agencies are investigating the source of the email, and strict action will be taken against those responsible. He also warned that individuals spreading such rumours will face strong legal consequences.
