SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND HOLDS ECHS COMPLIANCE AND GOVERNANCE SEMINAR TO STRENGTHEN HEALTHCARE FOR VETERANS

Jaipur : Sapta Shakti Command organised an Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Compliance and Governance Seminar at Sapta Shakti Auditorium to strengthen healthcare delivery for the nation’s true heroes and their families as part of its continued commitment to veterans’ welfare.

            The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) provides cashless, quality healthcare through a network of polyclinics and empanelled hospitals, supported by a toll-free helpline. The seminar was conducted by Headquarters 61 Sub Area, under the aegis of Sapta Shakti Command, at the Sapta Shakti Auditorium, Jaipur, in coordination with Regional Centre ECHS, Jaipur. Lt Gen PS Shekhawat, Chief of Staff, Sapta Shakti Command, chaired the Seminar.

            The aim of the Seminar was to bring all stakeholders and beneficiaries onto a common platform to improve mechanisms for providing timely and quality healthcare to Veterans and their families. The Seminar was conducted in hybrid mode and attended by Veterans, representatives from empanelled hospitals, military hospitals, ECHS polyclinics, PCDA, BPA and Central Organisation ECHS.During the deliberations, participants discussed the latest ECHS policies, best practices in medical treatment at polyclinics and empanelled hospitals, key challenges, and the way forward. All participants contributed actively to the discussions, reaffirming their respect and gratitude towards the Veterans of the nation.

            The Chief of Staff, emphasised on the importance of a holistic and detailed approach on streamlining the complete healthcare cycle. This cycle spans from ‘Outpatient Care’ at polyclinics, initial consultation, investigation & provision of medicines to ‘Inpatient Care’ at empanelled hospitals, covering specialised investigations, hospitalisation, and the subsequent clearance and payment of medical bills.

            The seminar concluded with a collective assurance of commitment from all stakeholders to ensure the provision of timely and best-in-class healthcare to veterans. Veterans present lauded the sincere efforts of Sapta Shakti Command and the commitment of stakeholders towards enhancing the efficiency and responsiveness of ECHS.
