Women’s Participation Crucial for a Developed India: Dr. Vasudev Devnani

Jaipur,  Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani emphasized that the participation of women is vital in building a developed India. He urged youth to set their own goals, choose subjects based on their interests, and avoid frustration.

Addressing the “Pinnacle–2026” program held at S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. Mahila Mahavidyalaya on Saturday, Dr. Devnani encouraged young people to maintain open communication with their families and express their thoughts without hesitation.

He called upon young women to remain alert against injustice, stay rooted in values, and never forget their culture. “Live for your family, society, and the nation. Work towards strengthening families and uphold social values. Be a ‘real’ woman dedicated to the nation,” he said. He added that India has always been, and will continue to be, a global leader, stressing that women’s participation is key to achieving a developed India.

Highlighting the significance of annual celebrations, Dr. Devnani said such events represent the confluence of hard work, talent, and values, inspiring individuals to strive for excellence. Praising the institution, he noted that it not only imparts education but also builds life values and confidence, guiding society in a positive direction. He remarked that “Subodh” means “good knowledge,” and the institution truly reflects that spirit.

Emphasizing women’s education, he stated that educating a woman leads to the education of an entire society. Referring to India’s rich heritage, he cited examples of scholars like Gargi and Maitreyi, who played significant roles in intellectual discourse in ancient times. He added that discipline, commitment, and dedication naturally lead to progress.

Dr. Devnani noted that today’s women are no longer confined to homes but are actively contributing in Parliament and State Assemblies, participating in decision-making, and shaping policies. He highlighted women’s growing presence in fields such as science, technology, defense, sports, and administration. “The time has come for women not just to participate but to lead from the front and guide the nation’s progress,” he said. He also underlined that in Indian culture, women are revered as forms of Durga, Saraswati, and Lakshmi, and where women are respected, divinity resides.

He described education as a tool not merely for scoring marks but for developing critical thinking, ethics, and social responsibility. Calling the present era one of artificial intelligence and technological innovation, he encouraged youth to move forward with a balance of innovation, leadership, and morality.

Stating that India is progressing toward global leadership, he emphasized the crucial role of youth in this journey. Defining leadership, he said it is not just about holding a position but about fulfilling responsibilities and inspiring others.

Dr. Devnani congratulated the college administration for successfully organizing the event and extended his best wishes to the students for a bright future. He also honored meritorious students during the program.

On the occasion, N. R. Kothari (President, Subodh Shiksha Samiti), S. S. Bothra (Honorary Secretary), Alpa Chaudhary, and Major Neeti Bansal, along with other dignitaries, were present. The college principal Swati Jain presented the annual report.
