ASSAM RIFLES HONOURS VETERANS AND VEER NARIS AT JAIPUR EX-SERVICEMEN RALLY

Jaipur: Assam Rifles conducted an Ex-Servicemen Rally at BM Birla Auditorium, Jaipur on 10 May 2026 under the aegis of HQ DGAR, reaffirming the force’s enduring commitment towards the welfare and wellbeing of its veterans, Veer Naris and their families.

The event was presided over by  Maj Gen Jai Singh Bainsla, SM, Additional Director General, Assam Rifles . More than 700 Ex-servicemen from Haryana and Rajasthan attended the rally, reflecting the strong bond shared by the force with its veteran fraternity.

During the rally, Eight Veer Naris and six gallantry awardees were felicitated in recognition of their sacrifice, courage and distinguished service to the nation. The Chief Guest interacted with the veterans and acknowledged their invaluable contribution towards the security and legacy of the force.

A number of welfare-related activities and awareness initiatives were organised during the event for the benefit of Ex-Servicemen and their dependents. Dedicated help desks were established to assist veterans regarding pension-related matters, ECHS facilities, grievance redressal, documentation assistance and welfare schemes. Medical consultation facilities and assistance related to welfare and rehabilitation measures were also provided.

The rally formed part of the ongoing Assam Rifles Outreach Programme. The aim of the Outreach Programme is to connect with Veterans, Veer Naris, widows and dependents by addressing their grievances and, wherever possible, resolving them on the spot. The programme also aims to reach out to bedridden Veterans and NOKs to ensure their welfare and support. Financial assistance is also being provided in deserving cases on a case-to-case basis.

As part of this initiative, Assam Rifles teams have so far visited 44 locations across 17 states and interacted with a total of 8,992 veterans, Veer Naris and dependents. In addition, 66 bedridden veterans and NOKs have been personally visited and assisted as part of the outreach efforts.

The rally also served as an important platform for direct interaction between serving Assam Rifles personnel and veterans, enabling exchange of feedback, resolution of issues and strengthening of institutional connect.

Maj Gen Jai Singh Bainsla, SM, ADG AR and Mrs  Ritu Bainsla, Vice President Assam Rifles Wives Welfare Association reiterating the Force's unwavering commitment towards ensuring continued support and care for its Ex-Servicemen community and Veer Naris. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and renewed assurance that Assam Rifles will continue to uphold the welfare and dignity of its veterans as an integral part of the Assam Rifles family.
