The Lokpal meeting @RTU, Kota

The Lokpal meeting was organized at Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, as per the directions of the University Grants Commission. The first appointed Lokpal, Prof. Satyendra Mishra, along with the Chancellor Prof. S.K. Singh and members of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee, convened for the meeting. Public Relations Officer Vikram Rathore informed that Prof. Satyendra Mishra provided information about the University Grants Commission (Resolution of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023. He emphasized that these regulations are a concerted effort to enhance transparency and accountability within educational institutions. They aim to provide a platform for impartial and responsible handling of students' grievances and complaints.

Prof. S.K. Singh stated that the Lokpal serves as an informal, impartial, independent, neutral, and confidential forum to address concerns of the student community. It works to provide informal assistance in resolving disputes and fostering mutual understanding. Rajasthan Technical University is committed to providing an outlet for addressing and redressing concerns informally in a confidential, independent, secure, supportive, respectful, and neutral environment. Universities are encouraged to contact their respective university authorities for further information or inquiries regarding the implementation of the UGC Student Grievance Regulations 2023.

The Chancellor emphasized that Lokpal is a robust medium for putting the concerns of students on the right platform. Lokpal has the statutory authority to address students' problems. This mechanism for grievance redressal in educational institutions will foster a transparent academic environment.

The meeting was attended by Chancellor Prof. S.K. Singh, Lokpal Prof. Satyendra Mishra, Registrar Ms. Deepti Ramchandra Meena, Dean of Faculty Affairs Prof. AK Dwivedi, Dean of Student Welfare Prof. Dinesh Birla, Chairman of Student Grievance Redressal Committee Prof. J.K. Sharma, Prof. Mithilesh Kumar, Dr. Rajshree Tapadia, Dr. Harish Sharma, Dr. Bhagwan Gidwani, student representative Anubhav Chauhan, and others.
