Western Central Railway GM Inspects Progress in Kota Division

Kota: Shrimati Shobhana Bandopadhyay, General Manager of Western Central Railway, conducted a two-day inspection tour of the Kota Railway Division on April 20th and 21st. The primary focus was on assessing the progress of the world-class redevelopment work of Dakaniya Talav Railway Station, costing ₹111.18 crores, and the enhancement of Sawai Madhopur Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, with a budget of ₹38.86 crores.

During the first day of the inspection, the General Manager, through Mandal Railway Manager Manish Tiwari, gathered information on all aspects of the ongoing work at Dakaniya Station according to the predetermined model and layout plan. The actual status of the development of basic facilities at Dakaniya Station was communicated by the relevant officials. Discussions with departmental officers provided insights into passenger amenities available at the station, ensuring timely and quality work as per set standards. The completion target for Dakaniya Station is set for November 5th, 2024, with rapid progress in its redevelopment.

Additionally, on the second day of inspection, the General Manager reviewed the progress of the redevelopment work at Sawai Madhopur Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Upon completion, the refurbished station in the tourist destination of Sawai Madhopur will contribute to local economic activities from both social and tourism perspectives. The revamp of Sawai Madhopur Station, costing ₹38.86 crores, is regularly monitored by DRM Manish Tiwari.

During the two-day tour of the Kota Division, the General Manager met with all union representatives and assured serious consideration of their submitted memorandums. Throughout the comprehensive inspection, DRM Manish Tiwari was accompanied by senior divisional commercial manager, senior divisional engineer (station development), divisional security commissioner, and other officials and supervisors.
