Wear, a celebrated artist honored by All India Radio - Doordarshan and Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mevad, showcased the intricate beauty of raag Charukeshi, a relatively new raag derived from South Indian musical traditions. Characterized by the softness of Dhaivat and Nishad, this raag exudes unique charm in its upper register.
Through his presentation, Wear demonstrated alaap, vilambit bandish, swar vistar, layakari, tanbazi, drut bandish, and various embellishments, captivating the audience with his mastery over the art form. Additionally, he enraptured everyone by singing classic tunes from old films such as "Kisi Raah Mein Kisi Mod Par," "Bedardi Balma Tujhko," "Rimjhim Gire Sawan," "Aa Ja Sanam Madhur Chandni," "Ramaiya Vasta Maiyya," "Ye Dil Tum Bin Kahin Lagata Nahin," "Aji Ruth Kar Ab Kahan Jayega," and "Ehsaan Tera Hoga Mujh Par."
Accompanying him on tabla was Sangat Akhilesh Sharma, hailing from the illustrious musical lineage of Ujjain's famous Sharma brothers. Known as the Sharma Brothers, they have shared their performances with eminent classical musicians and instrumentalists on various national platforms.
