Udaipur Division Congress Workers' Conference Concludes Successfully

Udaipur, The Divisional-Level Congress Workers’ Conference was successfully held at Sukhadia Rangmanch, Town Hall premises, Udaipur Municipal Corporation. According to Udaipur Rural District Congress Spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit, participants included presidents of district Congress committees from Udaipur City, Udaipur Rural, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, and Banswara, along with block presidents, mandal presidents, state office bearers, district officials, and senior leaders.

Key Statements from the Leadership

Pawan Khera, AICC Spokesperson and Chairperson of the Media Department, stated that the Modi government has embarrassed India on the global stage, unlike the Congress, which always made the nation proud. He credited Rahul Gandhi for forcing the government to reconsider key issues such as the caste census.

Ritwik Makwana, AICC Secretary and Rajasthan Co-In-Charge, expressed confidence that the enthusiasm witnessed at the conference signals a decisive Congress victory in the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan. He emphasized empowering grassroots-level workers and ensuring robust booth-level management.

Former Assembly Speaker Dr. C.P. Joshi urged for a deep introspection into the party’s performance since 2009 and stressed on identifying and communicating with Congress voters at the booth level. He advocated for inclusive politics, empowering marginalized sections of society in line with Rahul Gandhi’s vision.

Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Jully criticized the Rajasthan government for being dysfunctional, stating that schemes like Chiranjeevi are being shut down and unemployment is rampant. He termed the current state administration as a 'slip government' that has misled the public.

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra called the current state administration a “circus” and accused the BJP of internal chaos, where ministers don’t listen to the Chief Minister and MLAs are ignored by their own leaders. He said, “Whoever works with sincerity for the Congress will be given a chance.”

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, AICC General Secretary and Rajasthan In-Charge, reiterated that until the block and mandal-level leaders are strengthened, the Congress cannot establish deep roots. He reminded the audience of the Congress’ role in India’s independence and nation-building, urging everyone to inform the youth of the same to counter disinformation.

Unity and Tribute

The conference also paid tribute to the late Dr. Girija Vyas, former State Congress President and Minister, with a minute of silence.

Before the conference began, leaders were presented with a Guard of Honour led by Mohabbat Singh Ranawat (President, Congress Seva Dal, Udaipur Rural), Shailendra Audichya (President, Udaipur City Congress Seva Dal), Gopal Nagar, and Mahesh Tripathi.
