Udaipur: On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya during the sacred month of Vaishakh, a significant initiative combining Mewar’s rich traditions with its proud legacy of water conservation was undertaken. In the esteemed presence of the 77th Shri Ekling Diwan, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, “Arvind Sarovaram” was created at the Shikarbadi premises.
This noble act was successfully carried out with the blessings of Eklingnath and in the presence of eminent scholars and learned priests of Mewar.
In this sacred month, emphasizing the importance of water, a special ritual based on nature and the five elements (Panchatatva) was organized in eternal memory of the revered 76th Shri Ekling Diwan, Arvind Singh Mewar. “Arvind Sarovaram” stands as a symbol of this emotional and spiritual commitment.
Water architecture has always held a special place in Mewar’s historical tradition. The Maharanas made remarkable contributions to the construction and preservation of lakes, wells, kunds, and stepwells. This tradition goes beyond architecture and has been preserved as a timeless cultural and spiritual duty across generations.
Mewar has consistently set an example in water conservation and resource management for the future. Through an interconnected system of water bodies, the region has presented an inspiring model to the world.
The creation of “Arvind Sarovaram” is not only a tribute but also a message for future generations, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable water management.
