District Collector Reviews Progress on 65 Budget Announcements

Udaipur : Under the chairmanship of District Collector Namit Mehta, a key review meeting was held on Thursday to assess the progress of 65 budget announcements made in the Rajasthan State Budget 2025-26. Department-wise discussions were held on land allocation, required approvals, and implementation bottlenecks.

Collector Mehta urged all departments to work seriously on their respective budget items, emphasizing the need for regular monitoring, inter-departmental coordination, and timely execution. He stated that if any department faces hurdles—especially regarding budgetary issues—they should immediately report the matter. He advised departments to submit proposals under DMFT (District Mineral Foundation Trust) if funding delays occur.

Review of Announcements and Action Plans:

The meeting featured detailed updates on various budget proposals including:

  • Construction of 159 Atal Pragati Paths covering 247.17 km in villages with a population above 5,000.

  • Land allocated for bus stands in Kotda and Jhadol; Rajasthan Agriculture Marketing Board, Jaipur appointed as executing agency.

  • Allotment of 2,500 sq.m. land for Atal Innovation Studio and Accelerators.

  • Discussions on projects like rural tourism in Menar, hospitality skill center, restoration of Shri Jagat Shiromani Temple, night tourism, travel mart, tribal tourism circuit, Vedic Gurukul, new dairy plant, Hop-on Hop-off bus, and sub-district hospital in Gogunda.

Focus on Flagship Schemes:

Prior to this, progress on 25 flagship schemes was also reviewed. These included:

  • Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Poverty-Free Village

  • Jal Jeevan Mission

  • KUSUM Yojana

  • Lado Protsahan Yojana

  • Swachh Bharat Mission

  • Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

  • Panch Gaurav

  • Mukhyamantri Swanidhi

  • Praveshotsav Campaign

  • National Food Security Scheme, among others.

Collector Mehta instructed that all departments must implement these schemes transparently, with public participation and a strong focus on quality delivery. He emphasized time-bound, target-oriented execution.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Collector (Admin) Deependra Singh Rathore, Zila Parishad CEO Riya Dabi, Municipal Commissioner Ram Prakash, CMHO Dr. Ashok Aditya, Tourism Deputy Director Shikha Saxena, Chief Planning Officer Mahaveer Verma, and other key officials.
