Udaipur, A two-day painting exhibition titled "Becoming Light" by Ahmedabad-based artist Sheena Chawla was inaugurated on Friday at Bagore Ki Haveli, Gangaur Ghat, Udaipur. The exhibition was opened by renowned sculptor Hemant Joshi, and curated by Narendra Patel.

Present at the inaugural ceremony were Pawan Amarawat, Deputy Director (Programs) of the Centre, Durgesh Chandwani, Assistant Director (Finance & Accounts), along with C.L. Salvi, Hemant Mehta, Sunil Nimawat, Siddhant Bhatnagar, Deepak Navlakha, and other art lovers including Nilofar and Sharmila Rathore.

The exhibition explores the theme of healing, liberation, and inner transformation through 35 deeply personal abstract artworks. Describing her work, Sheena says,
“Walk gently. These are not just paintings — they are breaths I held until I became light.”

Her art is more than just visual expression; it's a sacred space for vulnerability. She defines her style as intuitive abstraction, guided not by formality but by emotion. Through organic lines, textured layers, and symbolic forms, the series maps a visual journey — from burden to lightness, from noise to stillness.

Sheena’s work invites viewers into a quiet dialogue with the self, where layers of emotions are transmuted into color, form, and silence.

The exhibition will run till June 21, and is open daily from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
