World Physiotherapy Day – Walkathon Rally 2025 Organized in Udaipur

Udaipur: On the eve of World Physiotherapy Day, a Walkathon Rally was organized on Sunday at the Fatehsagar Pal amidst light showers by various physiotherapy colleges of the city. The rally was flagged off from Motimangri by Rajasthan Vidyapeeth Vice Chancellor Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, along with Principal Dr. Shailendra Mehta, Dr. Pallav Bhatnagar, Dr. Jafar, Dr. Tina, Dr. Yunus, and Dr. Deepak. The rally concluded at Fatehsagar Pal.

Private Secretary Krishnakant Kumawat informed that students and doctors from Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Geetanjali, Pacific, and Sunrise colleges participated with great enthusiasm.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sarangdevot highlighted that health is the foundation of all possibilities in life, and once it deteriorates, it becomes difficult to restore. He emphasized that physiotherapy is a gift of the 21st century, enabling recovery without side effects. Regular physiotherapy practices, he added, can not only cure ailments but also prevent them.

This year, the World Physiotherapy Federation has adopted the theme “Healthy Ageing”, focusing on addressing health challenges faced by people over 60 years of age. Prof. Sarangdevot also noted that physiotherapists play a vital role in rehabilitating sportspersons from injuries without the use of medication.
