Udaipur: On the fourth day of the Amrita Fair, several impactful programs were organized with the message of women empowerment, safety, and social awareness. A grand bike rally was taken out under the joint aegis of the Nirbhaya Commando team and the Police Department. The rally gained special recognition with the gracious presence of international rifle shooter Palak Gurjar.
The rally commenced from Amrita Haat and passed through Delhi Gate, Bapu Bazaar, Jagdish Chowk, Hathipole, and Gulab Bagh before concluding back at Amrita Haat. Throughout the route, slogans such as “Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter,” “Stop Child Marriage,” and “Say No to Violence Against Women” resonated in the air. Citizens welcomed the rally with flower showers at various points. The Police Department ensured comprehensive security arrangements during the event.
On the occasion, Palak Gurjar encouraged young girls to move forward in self-defense, education, and sports. She stated that daughters are bringing pride to the nation in every field and that society must provide them with equal opportunities. Her presence generated great enthusiasm among the youth.
With the support of Harihar Trust and Shashwat Trust, a health camp was organized at the fair for women from self-help groups and other female visitors. More than 200 women underwent hemoglobin testing and general health check-ups. Experts raised awareness about anemia prevention, nutritious diets, and the importance of regular health examinations.
Under the Amrita Premium League, an exciting cricket match was played between Meera Girls College and the Women Empowerment Team. The players delivered impressive performances, with Meera Girls College securing first place and winning the trophy. Spectators cheered enthusiastically to encourage the participants.
Gender Specialist Vimla Veerwal informed that the closing ceremony of Amrita Haat will be held tomorrow at 3:00 PM. Cultural performances and a felicitation ceremony will be organized on the occasion.
