Swarna Prashan Mega Campaign, Panchakarma Camps and Yoga Sessions Set New Record; Over 4.25 Lakh Children Benefited

Udaipur: Public welfare initiatives undertaken by the Rajkiya Adarsh Ayurveda Aushadhalaya have set a remarkable benchmark in healthcare services across Udaipur district. The Swarna Prashan Mega Campaign, free Panchakarma treatment camps, and regular yoga sessions running since 2007 have significantly strengthened health awareness in the region.

Launched in 2014, the Swarna Prashan Mega Campaign has so far benefited more than 4.25 lakh children with free administration of Swarna Prashan Sanskar. Aimed at improving children’s immunity, overall health, and mental development, the campaign has emerged as one of the most extensive and impactful public health initiatives in the state.

The campaign is being continuously conducted with public support under the leadership of senior Ayurveda physician Dr. Shobhalal Audichya. Swarna Prashan is administered every Sunday on a regular basis, while on auspicious occasions such as Pushya Nakshatra, the turnout of parents increases manifold compared to normal days. Camps organized in both rural and urban areas have enabled thousands of families to benefit from the service.

Children Participate Enthusiastically

A notable feature of the campaign is the enthusiastic participation of young children, many of whom willingly come forward to receive the medicine. Organizers consider this a positive sign of growing awareness and encouraging experiences among families.

Growing Trust Among Parents

Parents have expressed increasing confidence in the Swarna Prashan program. Many have reported a noticeable reduction in common illnesses among their children, along with improved concentration, memory, and immunity. This growing trust has resulted in large numbers of families bringing their children regularly each month.

Wide Impact of Panchakarma Camps

Over the past five years, the Ayurvedic dispensary has organized more than 45 free Panchakarma treatment camps. These camps provide traditional Ayurvedic therapies for disorders related to Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The steadily increasing participation each year reflects rising public interest and faith in Ayurvedic treatment methods.

Free Yoga Sessions Since 2007

The dispensary has been conducting daily free yoga sessions since 2007 from 7:00 am to 8:30 am. Participants practice pranayama, meditation, Surya Namaskar, and various yoga asanas. Over the years, these sessions have helped thousands of citizens strengthen their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Future Plans

Dr. Shobhalal Audichya stated that the campaign will be expanded further in the coming years. The focus will be on reaching more schools and rural areas, increasing the number of service camps, and spreading Ayurveda-based health awareness to every section of society. The aim is to ensure that no child in the district is deprived of the benefits of Swarna Prashan and that more citizens can access yoga and Panchakarma services.

Through its sustained initiatives, Rajkiya Adarsh Ayurveda Aushadhalaya has presented a model of community-centered healthcare in Udaipur district, strengthening the spirit of social service by providing free Ayurveda-based health services.
