13,83,178 Voters to Elect Their Representatives in 20 Panchayat Samitis of Udaipur

Udaipur – As per the directions of the State Election Commission, a meeting of representatives of political parties was held on Wednesday under the Voter List Revision Programme 2026 for Panchayati Raj Institutions. The meeting was conducted under the guidance of District Election Officer and Collector Namit Mehta and chaired by Deputy District Election Officer (ADM Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore.

During the meeting, Deputy District Election Officer Mr. Rathore informed that the State Election Commission had announced the Voter List Revision Programme 2026 with reference to the qualifying date of January 1, 2025. The draft publication of voter lists was issued on January 29, 2026. At that time, the district had a total of 13,73,752 registered voters. After the draft publication, claims and objections were invited through Forms 1 to 3. Following the disposal of applications received between January 29 and February 16, the final publication of the voter lists was released on Wednesday.

With this revision, the total number of voters in the 20 Panchayat Samitis of Udaipur district has increased to 13,83,178, reflecting a rise of 9,426 voters.

Representatives present at the meeting included Manish Sharma and Deepak Sharma from Bharatiya Janata Party, Mahendra Damor from Indian National Congress, Suresh Kumar Meghwal, Shiv Kumar Gautam, and Jagdish Babaria from Bahujan Samaj Party, and Amit Kharadi from Bharatiya Adivasi Party.

Panchayat Samiti-wise Voter Details

The district now has a total of 13,83,178 voters, comprising 7,05,667 male voters, 6,77,506 female voters, and 5 transgender voters.

The revision ensures updated electoral rolls ahead of upcoming Panchayati Raj elections in the district.
