District Water and Sanitation Mission Meeting Held in Udaipur

Udaipur – A meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission under the Jal Jeevan Mission was held on Wednesday under the direction of the District Collector and chaired by Additional District Collector (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore.

At the outset, Superintending Engineer, PHED, Ravindra Chaudhary discussed the agenda points and provided detailed information about the currently approved and ongoing schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission. ADM Mr. Rathore instructed officials to ensure the timely completion of all sanctioned works.

Discussions were held regarding the provision of tap water connections in schools, Anganwadi centers, health centers, and villages. Mr. Rathore also directed officials to ensure 100 percent certification under the “Har Ghar Jal” initiative. While reviewing the selection of “Nal Jal Mitras” by Gram Panchayats as per prescribed norms, Mr. Chaudhary informed that the selection list has been received through the District Council.

Under the “Har Ghar Jal” service assessment, the district had been assigned a target of 13 Gram Panchayats. Out of these, 7 Panchayats have now fallen under urban areas, while assessment in the remaining Panchayats has been completed. Similarly, under the transfer of water supply schemes, “Jal Arpan” programs were organized in two villages of Mangthala Panchayat in Mavli block.

Considering the upcoming summer season, the ADM also reviewed the contingency plan. The Superintending Engineer informed that the district’s contingency plan has been prepared and forwarded for approval.

Executive Engineers Lalit Nagauri, Ritesh Meena, Naveen Raj Sharma, along with other departmental officials, were present at the meeting.
