Various Events Organized on World Earth Day

Udaipur: On the occasion of World Earth Day 2026, the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Regional Office Udaipur, organized a wide range of public awareness and environmental conservation activities across the city. These initiatives were conducted in collaboration with educational institutions, industries, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

The programs began with an awareness rally held at Fateh Sagar Lake, where students from Narayan Seva Sansthan and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose School participated enthusiastically. Alongside the rally, students presented street plays and cultural performances to effectively spread the message of environmental conservation. A quiz competition was also organized, and the winners were awarded prizes.

To promote green initiatives, Tulsi plants and seed balls were distributed free of cost to the public with the support of M/s Envision Enviro, encouraging tree plantation and environmental awareness. In a significant step toward controlling vehicle pollution, free pollution-check camps were organized at various locations in the city, raising awareness about emission standards among citizens.

At the school level, environmental workshops were conducted for students at Shaheed Lieutenant Abhinav Nagori Government Senior Secondary School, Bhuvana, and Government Senior Secondary School, Gudli, Udaipur. In collaboration with Rahada Foundation, students were trained in making seed balls and creating useful items such as pots from plastic waste bottles. These activities were supported by various organizations and industries.

Keeping in mind the health of traffic police personnel, a free spirometry (lung check-up) camp and medicine distribution program were organized with the support of Pacific Medical College and Hospital. To further enhance environmental awareness among students, awareness videos and presentations were broadcast in all government schools through the District Education Officer.

Additionally, environmental awareness videos were screened in shopping malls and cinema halls across Udaipur before movie screenings to reach a wider audience. Various schools also organized debates, painting, and poster-making competitions with support from Udaipur Cement Works Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and Zawar Mines.

Through these extensive activities, the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Udaipur, reaffirmed its commitment to environmental protection and took a significant step toward building a cleaner and greener future through public participation.
