Udaipur: An orientation program for the Kalika Patrolling Unit and Tourist Patrolling Team, dedicated to ensuring public safety in public places, was held on Wednesday at the Police Lines auditorium in Udaipur. The program was organized under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan as the chief guest.
The event was conducted under the “Policing for Care of Children” program, run jointly by Udaipur Range Police and UNICEF Rajasthan. During the orientation, participants were provided detailed information about new provisions related to the safety of women and children in public spaces, along with other essential guidelines.
Addressing the participants, SP Dr. Amrita Duhan said that the safety of women and children is the topmost priority of the police. She emphasized that sensitive handling of cases involving women and children is essential, ensuring a safe environment for them while taking strict action against those encouraging or committing crimes.
She further stated that this workshop, conducted under the guidance of the Inspector General of Police, is highly beneficial for the participants. She highlighted the crucial role of the Kalika Patrolling Team in maintaining law and order, preventing crimes, and strengthening the sense of security among the public.
Dr. Duhan also appreciated UNICEF’s efforts and said that their programs are valuable for community policing. She instructed the team to work with alertness, quick response, and active public participation.
